Really nice article -- very well explained and i think you touched on everything important.

I'll mention that i actually wrote an elaborate pgp addon for mircryption to support key exchanges that would be invulnerable to MITM attacks, but while it worked it was quite cumbersome to use and i've not maintained it over the years.
